Guide, Aged 12
There are four sites, each of varying size. Each has facilities for Guide Patrols and Rangers / Young Leaders camping, with some
equipment available to use. There is a water tap, permanent shelter, flush toilets and altar fire on each site. If booking an equipped site, then there is also some very good kitchen equipment available.
There are large wooden huts on each campsite which are available for storage and wet weather accommodation. Each of our 4 fields has it’s own water tap and flush toilets.
Some tentage is available to hire: ridge tents, light- weight tents and party tents.
All of our tents and equipment are now stored in the purpose built building located on Hazels Site.
The barn accommodation is suitable for Brownies, Guides, Rangers Young Leaders or adult members. The upstairs consists of an activity/sleeping room, leader’s room,
bathroom and kitchen. There are also three fold-up beds downstairs which are suitable for Leaders or Young Leaders.
The maximum number of persons sleeping upstairs is 15. Please note that each person should bring their own sheet for the
mattresses provided.
Downstairs are chill cabinets, freezers and general storage space.
There is a shower block adjacent to the Margaret Pilkington Hall, available for use.
The hall is available for hire on a session basis. A session is a morning, afternoon or evening. Hire includes the use of the very well equipped kitchen. It is available for trainings, meetings etc.
The hall is also equipped for Rainbow, Brownie, Guide, Ranger and Young Leader sleepovers. Use of the kitchen is included in the hire charge.
