We are delighted to announce that both Scarisbrick and Shirdley Hill are now ready to accept indoor and outdoor bookings for unit meetings and residential events.
Our buildings have been checked and cleaned and are now COVID safe and ready to welcome you back.
At Scarisbrick our toilet blocks are COVID safe and our fields and woods ready for your outdoor adventures.

Scarisbrick Campsite and Training Centre is the home of adventure for girls and young women in Merseyside and Sefton. The centre is jointly owned, and cared for, by Girlguiding Merseyside and Girlguiding Sefton.
The centre (ideally situated between Southport and Ormskirk) and is available for :
- Rainbow fun days
- Brownie pack holidays and camping
- Guide and Senior Section camps and holidays
- Region, County, Division and District events
- Youth group and Church group events (subject to
submission of acceptable Child Protection Policy)
- Training events for adults
Since it was formed, The Friends of Scarisbrick have helped raise lots of money to continue investing and improving the campsite. Their efforts have meant more memories for more young people. Find out more by going to the 'Friends' Page.
The Margaret Pilkington Outdoor Activities and Training Bursary fund is open to members of Girlguiding Merseyside and Girlguiding Sefton only who are 15 years or over.
The bursary is available for activities or trainings organised by Girlguiding UK, or other recognised bodies, acceptable to the committee. Preference will be given to adults attending courses which lead to a qualification for the benefit of girls and young women. For example, grants may be awarded for the following: Camp and Pack Holiday training(s) leading to a qualification, archery, Queen's Guide expeditions, and canoeing etc.
